I love getting my hands dirty and going deep, and that's the part that makes me good at the rest of it. Building a Star Trek prop uses the same muscle as fixing a broken pipeline. And I never just want to know how something works, I want to know why, because that's where the good decisions live.
I've got old-fashioned standards about craft. Do it right, sweat the details, and don't stop until it's the best version of itself, whether that's a hand-built prop or a YouTube recap show. But I'm pointed forward. I'm a progressive who genuinely believes in the Star Trek future, the one where curiosity and decency win.
